Time to Strut Your Stuff

Welcome to Day 3, superstar! Today, we’re stepping outside—oh yes, we’re getting our fabulous selves moving! Mindful walking is your chance to strut your stuff while soaking up the vibes around you. As you walk, embrace the present moment like the queen you are, noticing every little detail and feeling those sensations in your body.

Mindful walking isn’t just a casual stroll—it’s a fierce journey of healing and growth that puts you in touch with every step you take. So, lace up those fabulous kicks and get ready to unleash your inner powerhouse as we explore the magic of being present on your feet! Let’s hit the pavement!

Cultivate mindfulness and awareness while strutting your stuff like the superstar you are!

  • Choose Your Track: 
  • Find a safe and quiet spot to walk—think peaceful park, a pleasant street, or even your backyard. Look for a distraction-free zone where you can soak in the scenery and unleash your inner diva!
  • Get Comfortable: Slip into some comfy clothes and shoes that let you move freely. You want to feel like a boss while you’re walking, darling! Comfort is key when you’re about to slay this meditation.
  • Set a Timer: Decide how long you want to walk mindfully—aim for about 15 minutes, but if you’re vibing, go ahead and strut longer! Set that timer so you can dive deep without constantly checking the clock like it’s an annoying ex.
  • Begin with a Few Deep Breaths: Before you start your stroll, take a moment to stand still. Close those eyes, take a few deep breaths, and set your intention for this mindful walk. Your focus is to be present and ready to soak it all in—this is your time!
  • Walk Slowly and Deliberately: Start walking at a slow and steady pace. Pay attention to each step—feel your feet hitting the ground, notice the movement of your legs, and observe how your body shifts from side to side.
  • Engage Your Senses: As you walk, take in the sights, sounds, and smells around you. Are those birds chirping a sweet serenade? What colors are popping out to say hello (I really enjoy the pink of my crepe myrtles this time of year)? How does the air feel on your skin? Is there a breeze? Is it humid (like the topical jungle we’re experiencing here in Atlanta right now)? Let yourself fully experience your environment.
  • If Your Mind Wanders: No worries, it happens to the best of us! In fact, it happens to all of us. When your thoughts start to drift, gently bring your focus back to your breath and your steps. Use this as your chance to practice returning to the present moment—no stress, just pure sass!
  • Time to Finish Up: After your walking meditation, take a moment to stand still again. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and soak in how you feel. When you’re ready, gently open your eyes and santer back into your day, ready to conquer the world like the fierce force you are!
