Self Love Challenge – Day 7
We’re a week into this self-love challenge, and I’m so grateful that you’ve decided to take this step of your journey with me.
Self-love might still seem selfish to some, especially if you’re someone who is used to giving everything you have to others—but this is a quick way to burn out, friend.
In case you needed ideas on how to practice self-love, here ya go:
- Forgive yourself
- It’s okay to punish yourself when you make a mistake, but it doesn’t mean you’re less than someone else.
- Practice self-care
- Self-care is a form of self-love and self-compassion that involves taking time to nurture yourself. It can help you cope with stress, anxiety, and depression, and increase feelings of self-worth.
- Practice positive self-talk
- Positive self-talk can encourage you to treat yourself with kindness, respect, and compassion. I learned the value of this when I worked at WW.
- Practice gratitude
- Expressing gratitude can help you feel good, appreciate different things about yourself, and cultivate a positive mindset.
- Say no
- Saying no when you want to honor yourself and what you need is a radical act of self-love and self-empowerment.
- Set boundaries
- Setting boundaries makes you stronger and leads to intentional living. Respect yourself by making others honor the boundaries you set.
- Ignore your inner critic
- Recognize that your inner critic isn’t you thinking those things but thoughts that randomly surface up.
- Stop comparing yourself
- When you are truly in love with yourself and happy, you will stop comparing yourself to others so much and will be more confident.
I hope you find new ways to practice self-love as it has a way of shining through to others, and inspiring them.
Where there is love and inspiration, I don’t think you can go wrong.
