Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One by Joe Dispenza was recommended to me by a friend. I looked forward to reading it and, to be fair, there was a good bit to like about it.
I found the scientific information about the human brain valid. Topics such as neurogenesis, neuroplasticity and various brain waves was educational. There was also information about meditation and it’s benefits which I have discovered first-hand to be life-changing.
Sadly, in addition to the very real and good information, there is a ton of pseudoscience that can be damaging and incredibly misleading for someone that may not be able to filter through the nonsense.
