Waking Up to What You Do
If you have never read any of the basic precepts of Zen Buddhism and their application to everyday life, you could do worse than read this book. I felt this was a more pragmatic, accepting and loving approach than the standard hard and fast rules I frequently read in response to Buddhism. The idea that observing what comes up for you in each moment, using the precepts to dig deeper and finally, watching what happens when you stop that behavior. You heard me say before that each moment is right and perfect and this book carried that idea to a practical method to appreciate those moments.
