New Year Self Reflection

New Year Self Reflection Journal | Katharine Chestnut

New Year Self Reflection

Another year has come to a close, and 2024 is right around the corner. Now is the perfect time to reflect on the past year and look ahead to the new one. Self reflection through mindful journaling is a great way to process your thoughts and emotions, identify areas for growth, and set meaningful goals and intentions for the year ahead.

As you think back on 2023, consider some of the following reflective journal areas to write (and you’ll find these in your downloadable worksheet):

  • Goals for the Upcoming Year
  • Reflect on the Past Year
  • Personal Development
  • Gratitude
  • Vision for the Future

I like to find a time when I can be undisturbed for at least 15-20 minutes for each section. Documenting your goals and intentions can help you stay accountable to creating the year you envision.

You’ll gain valuable insight into both where you’ve been and where you’re going. Most importantly, it will help you start the new year strongly by honoring the past and setting an intentional course for the future.

Use the worksheet below to write on or, as I like to do, use the prompts there to write in my journal.

Feel free to share in the Slack group about any of your self reflections and shifts in intentions!
