Meditation: First and Last Step – From Understanding to Practice

As someone that came to meditation in perhaps an unusual way, this book walked me through the why meditation works. And even more importantly, why it hadn’t worked for me in the past (I just hadn’t found the way that worked for me). I learned about the earliest spiritual knowledge along with the origin of meditation.

As someone that has come to trust my spiritual connection with the world, I also want (and need) to understand the science that supports the practice of meditation. It isn’t a particularly easy book to read, because of the depth of the information, but well worth the time (and you’ll spend time after reading a section by processing it).
